My name is John. I grew up in New Jersey, moved to Florida when I was 18 (24 years ago) and have been here since. I had always dated local girls and was married to one for more than 10 years. ARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I think you know where we are going here, but at least you are rewarded with that passion that makes it all worthwhile, right?????? (If she didn’t do the old 3-5 pounds per year trick…….OK enough! I’m starting to twitch now). Well, believe it or not, there really is a much better answer. Women outside the United States have a much different culture than our spoiled "Gringas". After meeting my girlfriend from down South I still find myself asking "why is she being so nice to me? What does she really want?" I am so conditioned to our way of thinking, it took a long time to realize that the answer is simple. Her goal in life is to make her man happy, and what she really
wants is someone that doesn’t beat her, is reasonably loyal and reasonably nice to her. PERIOD! What a revelation. While I see many sites featuring women from all countries, my personal favorites are Latinas. The reason is simply because 1) It is easy. Countries in Central America and upper South America (Venezuela & Columbia) are about a 3 hour flight from Miami and in relatively the same time zone. Brazil and Argentina take longer, (between 5 and 9 hours) but are still in the same relative time zone. 2) I personally find the Latin women very attractive and sexy. 3) Travel south is very inexpensive now. It is not unusual to have a very nice hotel for 30 bucks a night, beers out for about 50 cents a piece, and a VERY nice dinner for under 20 bucks (for you AND your date). 4) While I am conversational in Portuguese, (I swore I was going to learn to speak after my first trip to Brazil) my high
school Spanish (they didn’t offer Chinese and Russian) works in all other countries to the south. My first time in Brazil, I didn’t speak any Portuguese, but my Spanish was more than enough to get by 5) Most Important. The girls in the countries that we represent (WHAT COUNTRIES) are sweet, loyal, loving, sensual, and COMPLETELY different from their gringa counterparts. They look upon life as something to be enjoyed and shared. They are looking for someone for their life rather than fishing for someone that they can hook for eternal financial support (I’m not bitter!). While they want financial freedom, it is a very different kind, and really can only be understood after spending some time with them. The problem is that most of them think that the Idea of a marriage agency or dating service is a joke. They are suspicious of things that sound too good to be true. Christina understands their culture, and knows what it takes to get them to try something like this. On the other hand, I understand what guys in the states want. I know what we have to go through with "gringas" (the twitching again). I’ve traveled enough to know that it is easy to meet girls in other countries, but by the time you’ve weeded through the hookers and undesirables, most of your vacation is shot. The Internet is a good place to look but I don’t want my credit card statements to have charges to places like "Porkys meet a girl service" or "we’re all losers online
dating marriage agency" (All our credit cards are billed to Paysystems or B&L Enterprises of Martin, Inc.) I need my privacy and I respect that of others. We will never sell your information to others (PRIVACY POLICY) . Most Important, I realize that guys want pretty, sensual, women, but that we all have our personal tastes ( Someone that I think is a real hammer may be just average to you and vice a versa) so a good selection is necessary. Between Christina and me, we have the tools to make this thing spectacular.
WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT:
My intention here is not to trash anyone. I KNOW that there are many awesome sites out there, and to even hint at discrediting them is not in my blood. I have tried to look at many different sites, purchase their products, evaluate what they offer, and if possible, improve them. My experience shows that many of the older sites offer superior selections of real girls, but their technology is old, download times are excessive, and ordering is a pain in the butt. The newer sites have the technology, but the girls whirling around the page are distracting. I talked with a lot of my buddies about what they like as far as the appearance of the site and they all basically said "We don’t care if the basic colors are pink, blue, or gray. We want to see the WOMEN, and we want the site to be easy to operate". OK, there you have it. Enough technology to make it fast, not too much to make it distracting. only a few exceptions. Check back daily and see what I mean. We DO NOT buy girls from other sites. We locate all of these girls personally. They are real and want to meet someone from outside of their countries. We also have managers in the respective countries to keep track of the addresses, and phone numbers, and to remove the girls that request it. I also realize that I cannot run this thing as a one man show anymore. Therefore, I just hired Debbie here in the States to take care of our customer service. (June 2003) Brian and I will still be available to answer your questions about the culture of the girls since that is something that we somewhat understand (who really totally understands ANY woman??????), but we just cannot be near a computer all of the time. Both Brian and I travel pretty much all of the time, and it is not always possible to be where the internet is. I know that it has taken much too long to respond to
some of your problems, and it is time for improvement. Debbie will take care of any problems that you may have with the site, will forward messages to the respective country managers if you have a problem with an address or if you just need a little help. She will be working Mon to Fri, during regular east coast business hours. This is what we have accomplished because of YOUR suggestions. 1) A faster loading, simpler home page 2) The ability to enlarge the girls" photos. We made the photos on the list pages smaller (150 pixels) to allow faster loading of the page. When you want to enlarge a particular girl, you will see the prompt. Unfortunately, we can not go back to all of the girls, but the new girls will all have this option. 3) You will know from the list page if the girl
has additional photos. 4) A member area. As a member, you will have many additional features. FIRST, lower pricing (important) SECOND, the ability to search for girls by City or State. THIRD, the ability to order a package without having to order all the addresses at once. In other words, order the 38 address package to lower the price of each address. Order 5, 6 or whatever today. When you check back and see a new girl you really like, get her address with the credits remaining in your "bank". All automatically! This technology is available now (June 2003). We ran a special when we started which gave a free address and waived the membership fee. The membership fee is still free, but we have discontinued the free address program (we have a good solid membership base now). We have also learned that many of you are using older technology. The problem here is that any browsers older than 5.0 do not support our technology. We are VERY concerned about your security and use the latest 128 bit encription. This, along with our active database, makes abuse of our system VERY difficult. The problem is that you web TV guys, along with Windows 95 (and older), Apples, etc.. cannot take advantage of our high level of technology. We are (this month, June 2003) Making a system that will allow you to place orders manually, and you will get a message if our system sees that you have an older browser. If you can see us, you can use us.
Our primary goal is to provide real girls that want to correspond with you, meet you, and perhaps have a life with you. Countries with hardships are easy because the women will do almost anything to get out, but there are better reasons to be selective about where you go for friendship. I have traveled extensively throughout Central and South America. I am most familiar with Brazil. The thing that you must realize is that all of these countries have their own cultures. What works in Brazil doesn’t work in Columbia, works sometimes in Argentina, and may never work in Chile.
With that said, Christina and I have agreed that it is best to have a "Country Manager" in each country. A woman is best for this job because the role of the country manager is to find women, and a local woman has the knowledge to accomplish this. Also, the culture of some countries is better than others as far as Internet correspondence is concerned. For example, I have spent a lot of time in Chile. While they have many attractive women and their economy is not that great, culturally they are not (in my opinion) a good choice for this service. The women there are extremely worried about what their friends think. If word got out that they were associated with a "Marriage agency" or their friends found out that you met over the Internet, they would blow you off in a second. I know this from my time spent there and feel that this attitude is not what you are after. Therefore, we will not offer girls from Chile. I know that girls from Brazil, Columbia and
Mexico are amongst the friendliest, prettiest, and overall most desirable girls in the world. That is where we are concentrating now. I also want to include Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Honduras in the near future, but I will not rush into these places until I can personally confirm that they are all that they should be, and until I am sure that they will be a benefit to this site (and therefore to you).
Many agencies use different methods to find girls for their sites. You would be amazed (disgusted) at how many buy listings from other agencies. I don’t really care what other agencies do because we have our own methods. They vary by country because the cultures are so different. For example, in Columbia, the girls will not mail letters to an Agency outside of the country. They do not trust places that they don’t know, and therefore, will only respond to an address in Columbia. Our country manager Erika places ads and meets with the girls in person. Brian takes two trips per month to Cali, (Colombia) to meet with the girls and when necessary, take their pictures. In Brazil, the girls will not mail letters to an Agency within their country because they feel that it may be a trick. They trust Companies based outside of Brazil. Without local knowledge, you may need to purchase listings because you will never receive them on your own. Latin Social
Network NEVER purchases addresses from other agencies, and ALL of our listings are from current, actual, women. In Brazil, Christina and Anabel bust their asses to find sincere, pretty girls. We have advertisements in the local magazines, and we also have people in different cities that look for suitable candidates for our site. I pretty much stay in Brazil and Brian goes there no less than two times per month. We travel to different, small cities constantly. Christina and I go to Hair salons, fairs, night clubs, and shopping areas to hand out pamphlets and talk to prospective girls. (good work if you can find it!). By continually keeping our ears to the street, we know what it takes to get the best candidates for this site. Also, when girls ask to be removed, for whatever reason, we remove them. I know that the site where I met Christina (even though I have a large respect for it) took more than an act of Congress to get her removed (actually, she is still there, as all
of our efforts to have her removed have failed. She changed her telephone number and e-mail address and no longer responds. I know a lot of guys have spent $11 bucks for nothing.). I don’t see how this makes for satisfied customers. PLEASE tell us when an address is not current. The girls don't always tell us when they move, and unfortunately, we sometimes do have bad addresses. E-mails and telephone numbers REALLY drive us crazy. As you already know, we are a correspondence agency. We include e-mails and phone numbers as a convenience when they are available. We cannot however, guarantee them. The reason is that with e-mails, most girls do not own their own computers. They will set up a hotmail or similar free e-mail service, and use a friend or internet cafe (yes they are alive and VERY well in South America) to check their messages. The problem is that all it takes is one of you fellas to send a letter with say, 30 or so photos
of yourself to jam up the space allowance for a free e-mail account. The next guy that tries will get an error message and it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad address. The girl may really want to know you, but alas, e-mail is not the expedient tool that we have come to rely on here. Same with telephone numbers. Some months, there is not enough money to pay the phone bill. The phone Companies know this and are very good at shutting down service immediately. Their message just states that the number is out of service. Try again the following month after a payment has been made and it works again. The addresses however are something tangible. Either she lives there or not. If you get a letter back, e-mail (or mail via US postal service) us a copy and we will remove the girl and give you 5 addresses for your trouble. We will also try to find out what happened, and if she moved or if we just got the address wrong, we will give you her correct address in addition to
the 5 additional ones. It's a full time job keeping up with this, but it's the nature of the beast, and we are trying to keep the response rates up as high as possible. We just hired Vicky and Yvonnie in Bogotá, and we are slowly adding to our geographical presence. For me, it is difficult to believe that it was about a year ago that this Idea began. We started in November 2002 with 40 girls and an entirely different site. We started with just Christina and me. Erika joined us almost immediately after, followed by Anabel then Brian, and now Vicky, Yvonnie and Debbie. It has been a CRAZY 7 months, and everyone has sweat blood to try to make this thing work.
